The BS-spherical node is a casted shell bowl made of GS-52 steel (according to the German Standard) with an outer diameter up to 400 mm. The thickness of the BS-spherical node wall is between 15
mm and 25 mm. To place the required connection bolts there must be drilled holes into the BS-sphericla node. The angles of member axes meeting the node are highly variable. The minimum distance of the holes is normally
determinded by the geometry of the members to be connected. The BS-spherical node is to prefer for all connections joining space members. These would include for example space truss systems, shells and domes.
BS-spherical nodes have a sufficient large opening to move and fix elements by bolting from inside to outside.
